Dockyard
1. Grant of License
This is a legal agreement between you ("Licensee") and Ricardo Burger Schalch Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informacao Ltda, doing business as RBSTech ("Licensor"), the operator of Dockyard. By installing, copying, or otherwise using Dockyard (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with this agreement, Licensor grants Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Software for lawful commercial or personal purposes.
2. License Types
Trial — On first install, every feature is unlocked for 14 days of actual use (a calendar day only counts toward the trial if the Software was launched that day). No payment is required to start a trial.
Personal — One (1) named individual (the purchaser) may install and use the Software on every Mac that individual personally owns. The license includes twelve (12) months of software updates from the date of purchase.
Team (post-launch) — Licensed per seat, purchased in the quantity needed for the number of individuals using the Software; each seat carries the same rights as a Personal license.
3. License Verification
A Personal or Team license key is verified entirely on-device using a cryptographic signature check (Ed25519) against a public key embedded in the Software. There is no per-device activation server and no limit on the number of the Licensee's own Macs a Personal license may run on — the restriction in Section 2 is on the individual, not the device.
4. Restrictions
Licensee shall NOT:
- Share a license key with, or use it on behalf of, any other individual or organization
- Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or otherwise transfer the Software or a license key to any third party
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the Software to violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. Intellectual Property
The Software is protected by copyright laws and international treaties. Licensor retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. This license does not transfer any ownership rights.
6. Warranty Disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Software is with the Licensee. Licensee is solely responsible for reviewing any change the Software proposes to a compose file, script, or container before applying it.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Licensor be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Software.
8. Updates & Renewal
A Personal or Team license never expires and the Software keeps functioning indefinitely, including after its included update period ends. The purchase price covers twelve (12) months of software updates from the date of purchase; continuing to receive new updates after that requires an optional renewal at a reduced price. Declining to renew does not disable, downgrade, or otherwise restrict the version of the Software already installed.
9. Refunds
Licensee may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Refund requests are handled by Licensor's payment processor (Paddle) or by emailing the address below.
10. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Licensor may terminate this license immediately if Licensee breaches any term. Upon termination, Licensee must destroy all copies of the Software.
11. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
